Applications Close for “Empowering…” Programme as 头资源 Renews Commitment to Diversity in Digital Leadership

The open call for applications from emerging and potential female leaders in digital transformation to join the Autumn cohort of the “Empowering Women to Lead Digital Transformation” initiative closed on Friday, following a 30% increase of applicants compared to its first cohort in the Spring.

The new cross-sector initiative, supported by The Scottish Government, ScotlandIS and the Scottish Digital Academy, has been designed to create a sustainable community of empowered and empowering female digital leaders, in a bid to tackle the long-standing gender gap in the technology sector.

头资源, 专业IT, digital and business change recruitment firm, has reprised its role as “People Partner” to the Autumn cohort in another example of the firm’s ongoing commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the digital sector.

Commenting on the decision to renew their backing for the initiative, 头资源’s Head of 人才 Solutions and Senior Appointments, Anna Knight said “Being the People Partner of ‘Empowering Women to Lead Digital Transformation’ is something we are incredibly proud and passionate about, which is why it was such an easy decision to continue our support for this new cohort of inspirational future digital leaders. Digital transformation is at the forefront of economic growth and a gender balanced workforce is proven time and time again to be an essential component.

“We’re determined to help equip women with a confidence and empowerment toolkit – focused on strengthening self-belief in their knowledge and abilities, whilst growing towards becoming inspirational digital and technology leaders.”

With the call for applications now closed, the “Empowering…” Programme Panel, including Karen Meechan, Interim-CEO at ScotlandIS, The Scottish Government’s Head of Digital Transformation, 快乐Bramfitt-Wanless, 还有罗兹·布里顿, 人才的吸引力 & Capability Lead for the Digital Profession at The Scottish Government, meets next week to review the applicants and agree on the final make-up of the cohort.

The three-month programme will then run from September – November and feature an intensive programme of 1-1 coaching, group workshops and sector specific “Challenges” for the cohort to tackle.
